The Christmas Sketches, a Holiday Theater Experience

“The Christmas Sketches” is a fun and family-friendly interactive theater experience!

Not only will you see a one-act play telling stories about the origins of gingerbread cookies and lights on trees, but you will have the opportunity to decorate a cookie yourself and make an ornament! The cast of “The Christmas Sketches” will mingle while audience members decorate cookies, carol-singers will add to the ambiance, and when the play starts, audience members will get the chance to vote on what they believe the true origin story is!

Ticket price includes a seat around a table in our West Commons that will be transformed into a performance venue. Gingerbread decorating and ornament coloring is included in the base ticket price, and there will be additional concessions and items for purchase.

Something Rotten

In Something Rotten, two brothers set out to write the world’s first musical in this hilarious mash-up of sixteenth-century Shakespeare and twenty-first-century Broadway.

Welcome to the Renaissance and the outrageous, crowd-pleasing musical farce, Something Rotten

Online ticket sales end one hour prior to showtime each night, but tickets are always available at the door!

Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as "The Bard" (William Shakespeare). When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. But amidst the scandalous excitement of opening night, the Bottom Brothers realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self....and all that jazz. Something Rotten features large song and dance numbers, and an eccentric cast of over-the-top characters, each given their own special moment in the show to shine.

Rating/Warning: The licensing company, MTI, lists a PG-13 rating to the unedited version of Something Rotten; this is due to suggestive language. For this production, we will be using MTI’s approved script modifications that in turn revise the rating to PG+. With these approved revisions, Something Rotten is deemed appropriate for audiences ten years and older. There are still some instances of mild language use and light innuendo that keep the show in the spirit in which it was written. Parents may wish to do additional research before taking their younger children.

A Note on Seating: . Our new cushioned seats are all wider than our original wooden seats, but seats 12 and 13 in each center row are extra spacious.
